Alchemer + Maxna
Alchemer + Maxna: Survey Fraud Detection Setup
Alchemer (formerly SurveyGizmo) is a common agency workhorse. Maxna sits upstream so Alchemer responses are already integrity-filtered.
Other platforms score the respondent. Maxna scores the respondent and the response.
Device IDs, bots, VPNs, and duplicates are necessary. They are not enough. A real device can still paste ChatGPT into every open-end. Maxna's proprietary AI grades what people type - so sample integrity is both who they are and what they say.
Respondent quality
Where most tools stop
- Device fingerprinting and environment risk
- Bots, scripts, and click farms
- VPN / proxy and geo mismatch
- Duplicates and professional respondents
Response quality
Maxna's proprietary AI layer
- AI-written and synthetic open-ends
- Low-effort and copy-paste answers
- Cross-question consistency
- Open-end scoring before the complete is paid

Setup
How to add Maxna to Alchemer
Redirect is the default. API is available when you create surveys programmatically. Status 11 = pass, 22 = fail in the browser.
1. Create Maxna survey + pick a tier
Lumen if you only need the outer shell; Cadence if Alchemer open-ends matter.
2. Capture the panel ID
Set aliases for PID / rid / trans_id so Alchemer Hidden Values can store the same ID.
3. Qualified URL is the Alchemer campaign link
Append PID={trans_id} (or your Hidden Value name). Only Maxna passes ever hit Alchemer.
4. Reject URL returns to the supplier
status=22 with the same ID. Alchemer never stores the fraud attempt.
5. Distribute the Maxna URL
https://YOUR_SLUG.maxna.ai/mainsurvey/SURVEY_ID?PID=...
Inbound
https://YOUR_SLUG.maxna.ai/mainsurvey/SURVEY_ID?PID=ABC123
Pass
https://YOUR-DOMAIN.com/complete?PID={trans_id}&status=11
Fail
https://YOUR-DOMAIN.com/complete?PID={trans_id}&status=22
Troubleshooting
When the hop misbehaves
Hidden Value blank
Alchemer merge name must match the query parameter on the qualified URL.
FAQ
Alchemer questions
Can we keep Alchemer’s own quality questions?
Yes. They are residual. Maxna should remain the fraud gate so you are not paying for Alchemer responses you will delete.
Other stacks
Same gate, different survey engine
Qualtrics + Maxna
Add Maxna survey fraud detection to Qualtrics with a redirect gate. Pass PID through, receive status=11 or 22, and keep AI response scoring in front of the questionnaire.
Forsta / Decipher + Maxna
Put Maxna in front of Forsta (Decipher) surveys. Redirect sample through respondent and response quality checks, then continue with status 11/22.
QuestionPro + Maxna
Integrate Maxna with QuestionPro using redirects. Block bots, farms, duplicates, and AI-written answers before QuestionPro collects the complete.
Router and API detail also lives in the custom router guide.
We’ll wire Alchemer with you.
Most teams go live on redirect in hours, then turn on response-quality AI for verbatim-critical work.
